Responsibilities:
- Oversee manufacturing and automation to ensure deliverables are met, while collaborating with internal stakeholders to drive engineering efforts.
- Guides the conceptualization of new methodologies, materials, machines and processes, and implements best practices for execution of the builds and configurations.
- Directs the development of new concepts from initial design to market release.
- Accelerate the growth of a high-performing engineering team while supporting technical evaluation of the design requirements/constraints and guides team in developing concepts, evaluating risks and making effective and timely design decisions.
- Develop Contract Manufacturing partnership where needed and manage technology transfers as well as supplier performance.
- Partner with the Head of Tech Ops to build the long term Invoy Operation Strategy and actively drive its execution.
Desired Characteristics:
- Masters degree in Engineering required
- Experience in a regulated industry required (medical device, auto, aerospace/flight)
- Hands-on experience working in a production and automation environment. Experience working with systems from Mikron a big plus.
- Proven experience working with contract manufacturers from transfers to steady state. Sourcing engineering experience a plus.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and problem solve with a strong sense of urgency, initiative and drive required.
- Knowledge of electronics box building manufacturing a plus.
- Understanding of product life cycle, including with medical devices.
- 8+ years managing a team of engineers or managers.
